Question: Who done it? - Wasp Nest

Every year I have at least one nest in the garden.
This year, I was stung twice - sprayed the nest a couple of times and left it - then one morning nature helped me out - but who - a skunk - a raccoon?

These nests are dangerous - I usually don't know that they are there until I'm gardening next to it.
How do you handle these?
I think they are yellowjackets nests - built in the soil.
