What do you do when Rabbits Prune's your Apple Trees

The snow is almost gone and I went to check my garden.
Last year my Mom sent me some money and I bought 4 fruit trees.
This year I was going to trim the leader - but the rabbits beat me to it.
Not only did they eat the leader, but the lateral branches as well - right to the trunk and now I have a stick.
I did wrap the trunk to the first set of branches.
Do you think they'll grow back or I better get ready to buy more?
It's so hard to grow a tree in zone 6.

What I did?
I bought a new fruit tree.
Have to find a way of keeping it safe from bunnies and squirrels during the winter.
